Please read these Terms and Conditions ("Terms", "Agreement") carefully before using the Kidoc mobile application (the "App", "Service") operated by Kidoc("we", "us", or "our").
By downloading, accessing, creating an account on, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, do not access or use the App.
1. Description of Service
Kidoc is an AI-powered parenting and child development application designed to help parents, guardians, and caregivers discover and execute creative, screen-free, offline play activities with their children (ages 1–12). Features include:
- Roo Activity Engine: Custom play activities tailored to your child's age, mood, time budget, and available household supplies.
- Voice Interaction ("Tell Roo"): Speech-to-text input to request tailored activity recommendations.
- Playbox & Material Scanner: Digital catalog and camera-assisted scanning of household items for activity planning.
- Keepsake Caps Studio: Camera tool to capture, decorate with digital overlays, and preserve memories of completed activities.
- Developmental Skill Tree: Visual representation of developmental skill progression.
2. Eligibility & Parental Responsibility
- Age Requirement: You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction) and a parent or legal guardian to create an account and use Kidoc.
- Adult Supervised Use: Kidoc is an application for adults. It is not designed or licensed for unattended, independent use by children.
- Parental Gate: Kidoc implements adult verification mechanisms (Parental Gates) to restrict children from accessing external links, customer support, settings, or payment interfaces. You agree not to assist a child in bypassing these safeguards.
3. Account Registration & Security
- You may create an account using your email and password, Google Sign-In, or Apple Sign-In.
- You agree to provide true, accurate, and current information.
- You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
- You must notify us immediately at support@kidoc.in upon suspecting any unauthorized access or security breach of your account.
4. CRITICAL SAFETY DISCLAIMER & PARENTAL SUPERVISION

B. Mandatory Active Adult Supervision
- Continuous Supervision Required: You must actively supervise your child at all times during any activity suggested by or conducted through Kidoc.
- Material & Environmental Hazard Assessment: You are solely responsible for inspecting your environment and all materials used (e.g., scissors, small items, liquids, heat sources, cardboard, food ingredients) for potential choking hazards, sharp edges, toxic substances, or allergens.
- Age & Physical Capability Judgment:Children develop at individual paces. You must exercise your own independent parental judgment to determine whether an activity is physically safe, developmentally appropriate, and suitable for your child's individual abilities and health conditions.
- Assumption of Risk: To the fullest extent permitted by law, you voluntarily assume all risks associated with any offline activity, craft, experiment, or game performed based on suggestions from the App.
5. Free Plan, Quotas, and Kidoc Pro Subscriptions
A. Free Plan & Usage Quotas
- Weekly Activities: Up to 3 AI-generated activities per week, which resets automatically every Monday (with an initial First-AHA onboarding activity bypass).
- Voice & Vision Quotas: Limited voice input prompts (10/week) and material scanner detections (2/week).
- Keepsake Caps: Up to 3 lifetime Keepsake Caps.
- We reserve the right to adjust free tier quotas, reset intervals, or fair-use limits at any time with prior notice.
B. Kidoc Pro Subscription
- Billing & Store Platforms: Kidoc Pro subscriptions are billed directly through your Apple App Store or Google Play Store account and processed by RevenueCat on behalf of Apple or Google. We do not directly handle or store your payment card details.
- Subscription Periods: Subscriptions are offered on a monthly or annual auto-renewing basis.
- Free Trials: If an annual subscription includes a 3-day free trial, you will not be charged if you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. If not cancelled, the trial automatically converts to a paid annual subscription.
- Automatic Renewal: Your subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing cycle.
- Managing & Cancelling Subscriptions:You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your device's subscription management settings:
- iOS: Device Settings → [Your Apple ID Name] → Subscriptions → Kidoc.
- Android: Google Play Store app → Profile Icon → Payments & Subscriptions → Subscriptions → Kidoc.
- Refunds: All refund requests are governed exclusively by the terms and policies of the respective store platform (Apple App Store or Google Play Store). We cannot issue refunds directly for purchases made through third-party app stores.
6. User Content & Keepsake Photos
- Ownership: You retain full ownership of any photos, text notes, and materials you capture or input into the App ("User Content").
- Limited License: By taking photos or requesting AI overlays in the Keepsake Studio, you grant us only the limited, temporary, non-exclusive license to process the image through our secure Cloud Functions solely to deliver the requested overlay or feature. We do not claim ownership of your family memories, nor do we publish or display your photos publicly.
- Prohibited Content: You agree not to upload, scan, or process any photos or text that contain explicit, abusive, defamatory, or unlawful material, depictions of child endangerment, or infringement upon third-party rights.
7. Acceptable Use Policy
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any illegal, hazardous, or unauthorized purpose.
- Attempt to bypass, tamper with, or circumvent free tier weekly limits, quotas, or subscription entitlement checks (e.g., through script automation or device manipulation).
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or extract the source code or AI prompts of Kidoc.
- Scrape, harvest, or collect data from the App using automated bots or crawlers.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or security of our cloud infrastructure or APIs.
8. Intellectual Property Rights
- The Kidoc name, logo, graphic designs, UI components, codebase, and the "Roo" mascot character are the exclusive intellectual property of Kidoc and are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.
- You are granted a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App solely for personal, non-commercial purposes in compliance with these Terms.
9. Disclaimers of Warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the App and all content are provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
Kidoc expressly disclaims all warranties, including but not limited to:
- Merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
- That AI-generated suggestions will be accurate, complete, reliable, error-free, or free from hazards.
- That the App will meet your or your child's specific developmental expectations or be uninterrupted.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Kidoc, its founders, officers, directors, employees, or agents be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:
- Personal injury, physical harm, property damage, or accidents arising from participation in any offline activity suggested by the App.
- Loss of data, loss of goodwill, or service interruptions.
Our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of the App shall not exceed the greater of the total amount actually paid by you to Kidoc in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or $50 USD.
11. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the App immediately, without prior notice, if you breach these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or misuse our services. Upon termination, your right to use the App will cease immediately.
You may terminate your account at any time by following the instructions in our Account Deletion Policy.
12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts located in India.
13. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 15 days' notice within the App or via email before the new terms take effect. Continued use of the App following the posting of changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
