Kidoc Terms of Service

By using Kidoc ("the App"), you agree to the following terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Description of Service

Kidoc is a mobile application that uses artificial intelligence to extract school events from documents, emails, and messages. It stores event data locally on your device and provides calendar integration and reminders.

2. Account Registration

You must create an account using a valid email address or Google Sign-In. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must be at least 18 years old or the age of majority in your jurisdiction to use this App.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Kidoc only for its intended purpose: managing school-related events for your children. You agree not to:

• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify the App
• Use the App to process content that is illegal, harmful, or unrelated to school events
• Attempt to access other users' data or bypass security measures
• Abuse the AI scanning feature by submitting excessive or automated requests

4. Subscriptions and Payments

• Free Tier: Includes 3 lifetime AI scans.
• Kidoc Pro: A paid subscription that unlocks unlimited scans (subject to fair-use limits of 100 scans per month), Gmail sync, calendar sync, and priority support.
• Subscriptions are billed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Pricing, billing cycles, and cancellation policies are governed by the respective store's terms.
• We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with reasonable notice.

5. AI-Generated Content

Kidoc uses AI (Google Gemini) to extract events from your documents. AI output may contain errors, including incorrect dates, times, or event details. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all extracted events. Kidoc is not liable for missed events, incorrect reminders, or any consequences arising from inaccurate AI output.

6. Data and Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the App, you consent to the data practices described therein.

7. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, and content, is owned by Kidoc and protected by intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kidoc and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App. This includes but is not limited to missed events, incorrect reminders, data loss, or any harm resulting from AI-generated content.

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from the App's Settings screen.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
